Description

Shrijap.com Presents the Kanakdhara Yantra, a framed yantra built on one of the most loved hymns to Goddess Lakshmi. Under a red banner and two swastik signs, a blue circle holds an inverted triangle and tiny glowing triangles, with the sacred syllable "Shreem" written inside each one. A ring of lotus petals surrounds it, and the petals carry the names of the eight siddhis, such as Anima, Mahima and Garima.

Around the yantra, lines of the Kanakdhara Stotra are written in blue and red. The hymn is attributed to Adi Shankaracharya. The story is that a poor woman gave the young Shankara a single dried amla, and he sang to Maa Lakshmi, who showered golden amlas on her home. The word "Kanakdhara" means a stream of gold, and the tale is told as a lesson in the power of a kind and giving heart. The soft cream background has a Bhojpatra feel, in keeping with the tradition of writing yantras on birch bark.

A dark golden-bordered frame holds the print. Place it in your pooja room, shop or office. Fridays, Dhanteras and Diwali are favourite days for Lakshmi worship. It also makes a meaningful housewarming gift for devotees who love the stotra.
