Description

Shrijap.com Presents the Santan Gopal Yantra, a gentle framed yantra dedicated to Bal Gopal, the child form of Lord Krishna. Under a red banner and two swastik signs, baby Krishna sits happily at the centre. He holds his beloved pot of butter, with a soft peacock feather on his crown and a sweet, innocent smile.

An eight-petal red lotus opens around him. Its petals carry the sacred names of Krishna, such as Devakisut, Govind and Vasudev. These are the same names found in the well-known Santan Gopal Mantra. A ring of Sanskrit vowels circles the child, and red lines wind around the yantra like a protective boundary. The soft cream background has a Bhojpatra feel, in keeping with the tradition of writing yantras on birch bark.

Bal Gopal is traditionally prayed to by couples who wish for the joy of children, and by families who want their little ones blessed with health and happiness. A dark golden-bordered frame holds the print. Place it in your pooja room or a peaceful corner at home. Following Vastu belief, the north or east side is preferred. Janmashtami and Ashtami are especially dear to Krishna devotees. It also makes a loving housewarming gift for families.
