Description

Shrijap.com Presents the Vastu Dosh Nivaran Yantra, a colourful framed yantra for homes and workplaces. Under a banner of red, green and gold with two swastik signs, a blue strip carries the prayer "Om Vastu Devaya Namah". At the centre is the Vastu Purusha Mandala, the traditional map of Vastu Shastra. The red figure of Vastu Purush lies within a blue grid, inside a sunburst circle. The directions are written around it, with names such as Indra, Agni, Yama, Varuna and Vayu.

According to tradition, each direction has a guardian deity, and the home is seen as a living space under their care. At the bottom, a Sanskrit prayer asks Ganesha, the world's gods and the guardians of the directions to purify the home. The soft cream background has a Bhojpatra feel, in keeping with the tradition of writing yantras on birch bark.

Offering prayer to Vastu Dev is a much-loved step in home blessing. Many families keep a yantra like this at Griha Pravesh, or in the pooja room or near the entrance. Following Vastu belief, the north or east side is preferred. A dark golden-bordered frame holds the print. It also makes a thoughtful housewarming gift for a new home or shop.
