Strung as a full 108-bead mala on strong cotton thread with a traditional tassel finish, each bead is made from genuine ebony wood and carries its deep, natural black-brown colour, a clear sign of authentic Karungali rather than a dyed substitute.

South Indian tradition holds Karungali wood in high regard for its protective energy. How to Use

Energize the mala on a Saturday or during early morning prayer before first use. Chant your mantra bead by bead using the thumb and middle finger, moving in one direction away from the Sumeru bead. Store in a clean, dry pouch when not worn.
