Description

Shrijap.com Presents the Shri Kamakhya Yantra, a colourful framed yantra dedicated to Maa Kamakhya, the Goddess of desire and Shakti. Under a red banner and two swastik signs, a golden-orange circle glows at the centre. A red six-pointed star sits inside it with "Devi" written at its heart. The bij letters "Hreem" circle around it, and small green petal-like marks wrap the outer ring. A trishul and the watchful eye of the Goddess stand on both sides.

Maa Kamakhya is worshipped at the famous Kamakhya Temple on Nilachal Hill in Guwahati, Assam. It is one of the revered Shakti Peeth shrines. Her name carries the meaning of wish and desire, and devotees pray to her with a pure heart for the fulfilment of sincere wishes. The shloka on the bottom strip asks the Goddess to grant our hopes. The soft cream background has a Bhojpatra feel, in keeping with the tradition of writing yantras on birch bark.

A dark golden-bordered frame holds the print. Place it in your pooja room, home temple or a quiet prayer corner. Following Vastu belief, the north or east side is preferred. Fridays and Navratri are especially loved for Devi worship. It also makes a meaningful housewarming gift for devotees of the Divine Mother.
