"Dakshinavarti" means the shell opens towards the right, a form that tradition holds as sacred. The shankh is one of the four divine symbols held by Lord Vishnu, and his own conch is called Panchajanya. Keeping a shankh in the home is seen as a way to invite his calm and protective presence.

How to Use

Rinse the shankh gently in clean water or Gangajal. Do not use soap or harsh chemicals.
Place it on a clean yellow or white cloth in your pooja room, near the Vishnu murti.
Light a diya and incense, then offer a tulsi leaf and a few drops of Gangajal.
Chant "Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya" and keep the shankh in its place with devotion
